Now that I’m no longer a full time student busy with a multitude of essays and books to read each week, I finally have more time to read for pleasure!
While this is exciting news, I realized I had no idea where to start after being told what to read for the past four years. So I zeroed in on some of the novels I really enjoyed in some of my University classes and spoke to some of my fellow English major graduates and have been working on a list of books I’d like to read. I’ve also had a few suggestions from friends lately and can’t wait to get started on those!
If you have any suggestions of books I should read please send them my way! You can reach me through the contact page. To give you an idea of the types of genres I generally gravitate towards, just a few of some previous books I’ve read and really enjoyed are as follows:
- 1984 – George Orwell
- Scorched – Wajdi Mouawad & Linda Gaboriau (Highly recommend watching the film version of this play/novel called Incendies)
- Indian Horse – Richard Wagamese
- Union Street – Pat Barker
- Tuesdays With Morrie – Mitch Albom
I’d really appreciate any book suggestions!
